This map shows countries capable of manned space flight.

Manned spaceflight is spaceflight with a human crew and possibly passengers. This makes it unlike robotic space probes or remotely-controlled satellites. Manned spaceflight is sometimes called human spaceflight.

The first manned spaceflight was accomplished on April 12, 1961 by Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. The only countries to have independent manned spaceflight capability are Russia, United States and China.
