British chilled food market is the third largest market in Europe and contributed 12.5% of the total retail sales in year 2012. The largest being Germany (19.4%) and France (16.5%)
The food prices in the UK are rising faster than anywhere else in Europe at more than 5.0% each year due to increased imports but wages are stagnant.
