This map shows the number of internet users in each country per 100 people. I have noticed that richer countries, such as North American and European countries are a darker shade of blue, and therefore have more users. This is not surprising as richer countries can afford better infrastructure and services so therefore wealthier people will move into the country, and they will also bring in technology. Poorer countries, like those in Africa, have a very small percentage of internet users. Mali only has 2 internet users per 100 people. This is due to a lack of power connections, and also the fact that there is poor infrastructure and technology in this country. Very simplified, the north seems to be much richer, and therefore have more internet users. Also, the west (including North America and Europe) seems to be richer than the east.
